Our Bell and Brag Boot Tradition
Our Charter Bell.
This little piece of history was purchased when the Southwest Rotary Club was chartered in the spring of 1956. It had every president's name engraved on it up until 1988. It still rings beautifully today to open our weekly meetings.
Serving the Wichita Falls community and the world has beem a rich tradition since our club was chartered in 68 years ago. Our charter members envisioned a club where nighbeors, friends, and leaders volunteer their skills and resources to solve issues and address community needs. That tradition continues today. Join us for one of our Monday noon meetings at MPEC Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall - enter NW doors in back, 1000 5th St, Wichita Falls, TX.
If you're wondering, that's our Brag Boot behind the bell. Not quite as old as 1956, but used to collect a dollar every week from members who want to brag about something at the meeting. It has collected quite a few donations in its time.
